Jed Marum is headed back to Tucson! As those of you lucky enough to attend one of his previous concerts with us can attest, Jed is a fabulous folk singer who also plays guitar and banjo. His albums play regularly on Folk/Bluegrass and Celtic radio programs around the world, and since his last concert with us, he has produced the soundtrack for the award-winning documentary “The Road to Valhalla.” Jed also composed original songs for the film, and performed on the album along with Michael Martin Murphy and others. The film has toured the U.S. and is scheduled to air on PBS this summer.
Reflected in Jed’s songwriting and song selection is a keen interest in history and the passing of culture from generation to generation. Jed and Melissa Tatum (your host) have also written two songs together, and the two are also planning a class on “The Civil War in Song.” Those who attend the house concert may find themselves getting a sneak preview of one or both of the songs.
Jed plays over 150 shows each year at festival and concert venues throughout the US and will soon add Scotland and Ireland to his touring area.
Jed Marum will performing on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 7:30pm and the suggested donation is $20 per person. For more information or to make a reservation, please see our about page. Seating is limited.
Note: Jed will also be performing at the Tucson Folk Festival May 2 & 3.
